Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They provide an extra benefit or impact while the equipment in use. They can be bought by players or vendors, looted or obtained as rewards, or constructed by crafting materials. Upgrades can have cosmetic effects, in addition to giving bonus attributes.
Infusions, inscriptions, and enhancements are a type of upgrade components. They are not generally accessible to the general public and are only available on ascended equipment or certain weapons that aren't ascended from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be extracted from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device or saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded even while still attached to the item they are upgrading, and can be re-used after being salvaged. These upgrade items can be used to increase the quality of armor and weapon, without spending Dilithium. They can double the likelihood that an item will receive a high-quality upgrade.
An upgrade component placed within an item can be replaced with another, but doing so destroys the original one (except for upgrades to ascended equipment and legendaries). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or higher. If you add an upgrade to an existing weapon that already has a suffix or prefix upgrade, the item will be referred to as it would appear on the game screen (for example adding an Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can have up to three upgrade items at a time.

Glyphs
Glyphs are a useful addition to any item, because they offer a variety of unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes an item has, thereby increasing the power of the item. These glyphs can be found through dungeons, and some can be found in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can only be used by characters who have created a root-dungeon with the same depth.
To make use of a Glyph you must first create it using components, and then connect them using anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you don't want build the glyph from components, you can build it by using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element close to a component highlighted to lock it into place.
Certain glyphs require certain conditions to meet, such as having a minimum of 25 Dexterity in a specific region on the Paragon Board. Some require a specific number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated, which can be difficult to attain. Certain glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.
Glyphs are able to be applied to various items and weapons, except for those belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs have conditions for instance, having a certain number of damage from Dexterity or Attack in a specific location on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of preventing enemy attacks by five percent. It also has an opportunity to render the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Certain glyphs can also be used on limited tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. item upgrade are counted towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most popular glyphs used in the game are the attack glyphs which boost Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. They are particularly useful for classes with a range such as Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to reroll the results rolled while taking an Action. When the reroll occurs the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained through a variety of ways, including through raids, dungeons, and skirmishes. They can also be bought in the store or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons or trials because they allow players to roll the rewards from the end chest.
For items that are at level 1, there are recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a specific amount of points when you recycle an item. The value varies according to the item's level and rarity. Additionally, the upgraded item won't retain its level when rerolled and the cost of recycling an upgraded item goes up with its level.
The player can also use reroll tokens in order to reroll an item. However it won't restore the item's original stats, or level. This is useful for those who want to reroll a product they don't love and would like to keep it in their collection.
There are three different types of upgrade tokens that are available in the game: reroll, random, and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires an item of the respective level to produce the new item with that quality.
To make use of rerolling tokens, select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Then, select a kind of token. The tokens that are available include Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. The Item token can be used to create an Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token can create a new weapon belonging to the same faction.
The item could be upgraded to a new item that has the same stats but a higher level. This will occur when the item is placed in the Pool that cannot be dropped or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
